Easy to use, got a good deal

So I decided to use some of my Flying Blue Miles to get Extra Baggage on a KLM Flight last month. It was super easy to do online, just a few clicks. I mean, not having to pay extra for my bag at the airport was a relief. The whole process felt really simple, which is what I like. Definitely made my trip smoother.

Decent program, some quirks

I used my Flying Blue Miles to book a Reward Ticket for a SkyTeam Partner Flight. The booking process online was mostly fine, but I did have a little trouble finding availability for my preferred dates at first; it took some searching around. The value for the miles used was pretty good though, especially compared to paying cash. Customer service was responsive when I called with a small query about seat selection, so that was helpful. My only minor complaint is that the search engine for reward flights could be a bit more intuitive. It's a solid program for frequent travelers, but not always perfectly seamless.

Good experience overall

I recently booked an Air France Flight using my Flying Blue Miles. The website interface for finding reward flights was pretty straightforward, though it took a few tries to find dates that worked perfectly with the Promo Rewards I was eyeing. Booking was smooth once I selected the flight. I didn't need customer support for this particular booking, which is always a plus. The flight itself was as expected. Earning miles on my previous trips really made this reward ticket feel like a great value. I think they could make the search results a bit clearer for flexible dates, but otherwise, I was satisfied.

Fantastic program, really happy!

I absolutely love Flying Blue! I used my miles to get a Flex Reward on a Transavia flight to Portugal, and it was so simple and amazing. The website was easy to navigate to find the options, and the booking was confirmed instantly. It's truly a great way to save money on travel. I can't wait to earn more miles and book another trip. I tell all my friends to join, you really should check it out!

Hey guys, thinking about joining Flying Blue. Do they ever have like, coupon codes or something for flights? Or is it all just the mileage stuff?

C Carly 1 week ago
Nah, not really coupon codes. It's mostly the Promo Rewards they do every month, where certain routes are cheaper miles. Or sometimes credit card deals.

T Tom Beaumont 1 week ago
Yeah, I've never seen an actual code. Just the monthly promos and then bonuses if you buy miles or transfer from a credit card. No text box for a 'coupon code' at checkout.

How does the Flying Blue Family thing work? Can we all pool our miles together?

C Cody Kaur 1 month ago
Basically, you can link up to 8 people (including kids) and all the miles they earn get automatically credited to the family account. Only the family leader can spend them though. It's pretty handy.

Yeah, one person is the 'leader' and everyone else contributes miles. Only the leader can redeem them. It's good for building up miles faster for big trips.

I'm looking at flights for next spring, when do the Promo Rewards usually come out? Trying to time my booking right.

A Alex Kaur 3 weeks ago
They usually drop at the beginning of the month. So if you're looking for April flights, the Promo Rewards for those might show up early March or something like that. Always good to check then.

Monthly. So keep an eye on their site around the first few days of each month for new deals.

How long does it usually take for miles to show up after a flight? Flew KLM last week and still nothing.

S Sam Reyes 1 month ago
Mine usually show up within a few days, sometimes a week. If it's been more than that, you might have to submit a claim for missing miles on their site. Had to do that once.

Give it another few days, sometimes it takes a bit. If not, there's a section on their site to claim missing miles, it's pretty straightforward.

Anyone know if you can actually use Flying Blue miles on Delta flights? Or is it just Air France/KLM?

D Dana Kaur 4 weeks ago
Yep, you totally can! Since Delta is part of SkyTeam, you can use your Flying Blue miles to book flights on them. I've done it a few times for US domestic routes.

P Phil Romero 4 weeks ago
Yeah, definitely. Delta is a SkyTeam partner, so your FB miles are good for their flights too. Good way to use them if you're traveling in the US.
